Cleanings
Regular dental cleanings are essential to keep your teeth looking and feeling healthy. In fact, routine cleanings significantly prevent tooth loss and disease affecting your overall health.

During your six-monthly cleaning, our team will remove any plaque missed through daily brushing and flossing. If necessary, we may schedule additional cleanings to help prevent any dental issues from evolving.

As part of your first dental cleaning, we will provide you with top tips on how to improve your daily oral hygiene routine.

CEREC Same-Day Crowns

CEREC Same-Day Crowns let you have a fully restored tooth in just one visit!

Advanced dental technology makes it possible for our team to design, make, and then place a new dental crown in just minutes. No need for repeated office visits, messy impressions, or temporaries.

CEREC crowns are made of natural-looking and durable porcelain. Your new tooth will look and function like your natural tooth.

Implants

Losing a tooth can severely impact your confidence and lead to embarrassment or future dental issues. Dental implants are an efficient and lasting method for replacing missing teeth that have fallen out due to trauma or decay.

An implant is made of a titanium post that is designed to mimic your tooth’s root. This root is placed into your jawbone and then topped with a beautiful crown. The post is made of a biocompatible material to fuse with your bone and provide a solid foundation for your new tooth.

Implants are functional and durable with 98% of people enjoying success with this treatment.

Sleep Apnea
Millions of Americans suffer from sleep apnea but aren’t aware of it. Sleep apnea causes your breathing to stop randomly while sleeping and common symptoms include snoring or fatigue. Dr. K can assist you with sleep apnea by providing oral appliances to help prevent your airway collapsing during sleep.

Sleep apnea can be treated and managed, so there is no need to delay in finding a solution. If left untreated, you could be at a greater risk for stress, heart-related issues, and other medical problems.

Extractions
Occasionally a tooth is so decayed or damaged the only way to preserve your health is through an extraction. An extraction requires our trained dentist, Dr. K, to remove your tooth to prevent further complications.

The extraction process involves your dentist cleaning and numbing the area around your tooth. Next, she prepares the tooth socket to make removal easier and then removes the tooth. After this, the area is cared for and can be treated with a bridge or dental implant.

The most common extractions are due to impacted wisdom teeth…Open a new window to a Forbes blog on the topic featuring Dr. K… coming through at the back of your mouth.

Root Canals
Root canals are needed when the inside of your tooth becomes infected or exposed. The main goal of a root canal is to remove the infected nerve and the associated pain and help preserve the remaining tooth structure. Thanks to modern technology, this is possible.

Root canal therapy begins with Dr. K cleaning and numbing the area. She then removes the infected tissue or decay and cleans the inside of your tooth. Once the inside of the tooth is free from infection, she fills it with a special rubber-like material. The opening is then closed with a filling or crown.

Dentures
Do you have multiple missing teeth? Dentures can be the answer. Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and are made to replicate your former teeth; leaving you with a natural-looking smile.

Commonly dentures come in two forms: partial dentures and full dentures.

  • Partial: These are designed to replace only a few missing teeth.
  • Full: These are complete dentures placed on either the upper or lower jaw.

Both forms of dentures are comfortable and designed to restore the function of your mouth. Permanent implant dentures are available at Mint Dental of Franklin. These dentures use implant technology to give you a more durable and long-lasting smile.

TMJ
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jawbone to your skull. Occasionally this joint can become damaged due to genetic disorders or trauma. When this happens, your caring dentist, Dr. K can help diagnose your symptoms and assist you with treatment.

Common symptoms for TMJ include:

  • Pain in the jaw
  • Difficulty chewing
  • Facial or neck pain
  • Locking or clicking in the jaw
  • Headaches

If you are experiencing these symptoms, then we can recommend effective treatments, such as medications, mouthguards, or simple exercises. Don’t keep living in pain; get help today!
